Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions ("Terms and Conditions") apply to purchases from Wylfings Publishing Ltd (hereinafter referred to as Wylfings).

General

Wylfings sells books in various formats via the Internet to its customers ("Customers") in the United Kingdom and worldwide.

Customers can be either private individuals over eighteen (18) years of age ("Private Customer") or companies, organizations and public institutions (collectively "Corporate Customer"). Sales take place via the website www.wylfings.com, or according to an individually signed agreement.

Digital books are a service provided by Wylfings where e-books are marketed and sold to Private Customers.

Physical books are a good provided by Wylfings to both Private Customers and Corporate Customers. Private Customers can order digital or physical books from www.wylfings.com.

Corporate Customers can order physical books by contacting Wylfings via email.

By completing an order in the above channels, or by signing an agreement as above, the Customer accepts the Terms and Conditions.

Prices and Fees

The applicable product price is the price that is stated on the Website when ordering.

Wylfings reserves the right to change product prices without prior notice.

Prices are exclusive of VAT for physical books, since VAT does not apply to physical books in the United Kingdom.

Private customers residing outside the United Kingdom may be requested to pay VAT according to their country's VAT rate to clear customs.

Wylfings currently takes no responsibility for customs or the payment of VAT outside the United Kingdom

Shipping fees for deliveries within the United Kingdom

Current fees are stated on the Website and are inclusive of shipping.

Shipping fees for deliveries outside the United Kingdom

or deliveries abroad, a shipping fee based on Wylfings' cost for the delivery will be added. When selecting the desired product(s) for checkout, the customer must select the correct option (i.e the product inclusive of international shipping).

If the Customer selects delivery in the United Kingdom but provides a foreign address, Wylfings takes no responsibility to deliver the goods.

However, in this event Wylfings will make every effort contact the Customer to rectify the issue.

Orders

Orders can only be made on the Website, unless a special agreement has been made before ordering.

A binding agreement only arises when Wylfings has confirmed the order by e-mail.

Messages from Wylfings are normally sent to the email address that the Customer has registered or otherwise specified when ordering.

Payment – Private Customer

The customer pays upfront to place an order.

Wylfings offers payment via Stripe on checkout, with Visa and Mastercard payments being accepted. The website uses the Stripe for all card payments.

If a private customer wishes to pay via an alternative method, Wylfings can at its sole discretion accept or reject this alternative method.

Customers should contact contact@wylfings.com to make inquiries if relevant.

By completing the purchase at checkout, the Customer accepts these Terms and Conditions.

Payment – Corporate Customer

Payment will be made in a manner mutually agreed upon by Wylfings and the Corporate Customer.

Delivery – Physical books

Delivery time depends ultimately on available stock and on shipping times. Wylfings will undertake to deliver the ordered products with no undue delay.

If the delivery time is estimated to be longer than stated on the Website, Wylfings shall notify the Customer by email.

If the Customer has ordered products with different delivery times due to stock levels, a combined delivery will be made according to the longest delivery time in the order.

Different orders to the same customer may also be combined if the delivery time coincides.

Delivery is made via Royal Mail. Wylfings is responsible for the goods until delivery to Royal Mail, after which Royal Mail is responsible for final delivery.

The goods are considered delivered when the shipment is delivered to a mailbox, left outside the customer's door, collected from an agent or acknowledged upon delivery.

Delivery of Digital Books

Delivery of Digital Books is carried out by Wylfings providing a link for downloading purchased Digital Books.

The provision is made by sending an e-mail with a link to the e-mail address specified by the Private Customer.

Returns and Complaints

Purchases are non-refundable. Wylfings does not accept returns of physical or digital books. However, the customer may complain and seek a remedy if either:

Wylfings has failed to deliver the goods to the customer, or

There is a clear and obvious physical defect with the product.

In either case the customer is to make their complaint by email to contact@wylfings.com.

Remedy is usually the dispatch of a replacement book.

If the Customer requests a different remedy, Wylfings may agree to this only at its sole discretion.

Copyright and other intellectual property rights

The copyright to the works reproduced as either Physical Books or Digital Books is held by Wylfings and each work's respective author.

The Customer does not obtain any intellectual property rights to the books.

All rights are reserved. No portion of a book sold under these terms may be reproduced in any form without written permission from the publisher or author.

GDPR

Personal data processing is carried out in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Wylfings registers personal data in connection with the Customer ordering a book on the website. Processing and storage then take place for the purpose of fulfilling agreements and to develop our products and offerings.

When Wylfings no longer has a legal basis for continuing the personal data processing, thinning takes place in the form of deletion or anonymization.

By accepting the Terms of Agreement, the Customer gives their consent to this personal data processing.

In accordance with the GDPR, customers may request their data be completely deleted at any time by making a request via email to contact@wylfings.com

Reservations

Wylfings reserves the right to correct any errors in item information or otherwise on the Website.

These terms and conditions apply until further notice, but the Terms and Conditions may be changed by Wylfings. However, after the Customer has placed their order, Wylfings does not have the right to change its terms and conditions for that specific order.
